Fair City: Pete left fighting for his life in RTE soap after collapse due to Carbon Monoxide poisoning

Fair City’s Pete is left fighting for his life this week, after collapsing in tonight’s episode due to Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

After a week of mayhem after his marriage breakdown, Pete begged Dolores for another chance in Sunday night's show.

The pair have been at loggerheads for weeks with Dolores deciding to kick Pete out of their home on Tuesday night, fed up with all of his lies around what is going on in Number 41.

But as Dolores refused to change her mind about the divorce, Pete berated Orla for interfering.

And matters went from bad to worse back at home, when he ended up passing out from a carbon monoxide leak in Number 41.

Full of concern for her ex-father-in-law, Orla had been telling Pete to go to the doctor about his worsening headache.

In Monday night’s show, she asks Erica to check in on Pete and she finds Pete unconscious in Number 41.

Erica calms Doug as they await news on Pete in the hospital, who has been left in a critical condition. Doug and Dolores keep vigil as Pete’s life hangs in the balance.

Later on in the week, the group realise they ignored Pete’s symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Elsewhere, Tommy refuses to let Zak stay at Sash’s and Dearbhla and Jane warn Tommy to lay down the law with him.

But Sash allows Zak to stay at hers on condition he obey her rules.

Meanwhile, Will hits back when Ger changes the repayment schedule of his loan and gets a chilling warning from one of her henchmen.

Ger then tells Will to apologise to Dean, and later on his late repayment incurs a hefty penalty.
