Fair City is going to be extremely emotional on Wednesday night as the characters and fans say goodbye to character Charlie following the passing of Tom Jordan.
The actor passed away on June 29 at the age of 82. He had starred in Fair City since the show began in 1989.
The news is broken on the show when Bella receives a call from Charlie's relatives in Canada who let him know that he has died peacefully in his sleep.
A gang from Carrigstown decide to meet at the Community Centre to honour Charlie the "gentleman through and through".
At the time of his passing, Brigie de Courcy, Executive Producer of the RTÉ soap, described Tom as "the heart of Fair City"
"He played Charlie Kelly from the very first episode and was a huge part of our plans for the future," she said.
"A consummate actor, and a strong advocate for his colleagues across the industry, he will remain a legend for the viewers and for everyone who had the privilege of working with him."
Elsewhere tonight, Will tries to spill the beans to Damien about the kiss.
But Mairead outsmarts him and manages to secure a promise of an amicable separation.
Meanwhile, Hayley, who is under pressure to sell the Comet, finally sells it to Mondo, but Sharon baulks at buying the house.
