The FAI angered fans by revealing that they are rescheduling the announcement of their annual accounts for the past few years from Thursday to Friday.
The announcement was scheduled to be followed by a press conference at noon today, but that has since been changed to tomorrow.
In a statement, the FAI said: "The Board of the Football Association of Ireland has decided at a meeting tonight to reschedule the announcement of the 2018 Annual Accounts and the Revised 2017 and Restated 2016 Accounts to Friday morning (December 6).
"The Board has taken this decision to facilitate the signing-off of the accounts on Thursday and the presence of the entire Board at a press conference on Friday."
It comes as Three Ireland has announced it will not renew its sponsorship of the FAI.
The mobile giant, which invested tens of millions throughout a decade-long sponsorship, claimed that not renewing will let it focus more on music sponsorship.
