An enchanting fairy-themed festival at a country house in Musselburgh will have a unique trail for children to explore.
The Fae Folk Festival at Newhailes House and Gardens is taking place on the weekend of September 14 and 15.
As well as the magical trail, there will be loads of activities including storytelling and a giant bubble zone. There's opportunities to dress up with a costume parade happening at 2pm each day.
The festival explores the mythical past of the Fae - ancient spirits who controlled the natural world.
No booking is required and maps for the fairy trail are £3.
Newhailes House say: "At this time of year the good Seelie Court of the summer faeries is fading and, as winter approaches, the Unseelie winter court takes control.
"Dating back hundreds and even thousands of years, faeries have played a huge role in our folklore and certainly aren’t all like the helpful and beautiful fairies invented by the Victorians. Join us at Newhailes to celebrate the Fae folk at our festival.
