Facundo Pellistri has left Manchester United fans dreaming of the future after his standout performance against Derby.
The Reds began their pre-season schedule on Sunday afternoon against Championship side Derby at Pride Park and, with United's stars from the European Championship still on holiday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed opportunities to multiple youngsters.
Among those was 19-year-old Pellistri, who spent the season loan at Spanish club Deportivo Alaves in La Liga last campaign, making 12 appearances, and he certainly impressed the United faithful when rounding the Derby goalkeeper to double his side's advantage.
It wasn't just Pellistri's goal that impressed supporters, though, because he looked bright and lively on the ball throughout the contest and his display was a reminder of why United paid £9m to secure his signature last summer.
Despite Pellistri claiming he would like to stay at United to fight for his place next season, Solskjaer explained after the game that another loan move for the Uruguayan youngster is to be expected.
Regardless of the next step in his development, United fans clearly believe he's an exciting prospect for the future.
