Facundo Pellistri has revealed his excitement to play alongside Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford, while offering a glimpse of what the Manchester United faithful can expect from him.
The 18-year-old, who has been given the No.28 shirt, was immediately placed into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Champions League squad after completing a £9million deadline day move from Penarol.
Fellow deadline day signing Edinson Cavani has backed the youngster to add a "mischievous" flair to the United front line, while Solskjaer insists he has the Pellistri has the right skills and mentality to thrive at Old Trafford.
Pellistri has now joined up with his United team-mates in training, though many are still away on international duty.
And speaking to the club's official website, Pellistri spoke of exactly what he hopes to bring the side.
“I’m very excited to sign because Manchester United is one of the best clubs in history,“ Pellistri said. “I’m really happy to be here.
“I would describe myself as a fast player who likes to be in touch with the ball and provide assists for my team-mates.
“I’m really excited to link up and to learn from [attacking players like Greenwood, Martial and Rashford].”
Though highly unlikely to be handed a starting role, Pellistri could be involved in the United squad as they return to Premier League action with a tricky trip to Newcastle on Saturday.
