Facundo Pellistri details what he will bring to Manchester United's attack

New Manchester United signing Facundo Pellistri has revealed that he will bring pace and, hopefully, plenty of assists to his new club's attack.

Pellistri was one of four deadline day signings for United last Monday, as he joined Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Amad Diallo in securing moves to Old Trafford.

The attacking midfielder joined from Uruguayan giants Penarol where he played 37 times in the Primera Division, scored two goals and earned the attention of some of Europe's biggest clubs with his performances.

Despite only being 18 years old Pellistri has been handed the No.28 shirt and will be in the first team this season, and he has explained what he will bring to the side.

“I would describe myself as a fast player who likes to be in touch with the ball and provide assists for my team-mates," he told United's official site.

The Uruguayan has attended training at Carrington for the first time this week and he also reiterated his happiness at signing for the club as well as who he is looking forward to playing with.

“I’m very excited to sign because Manchester United is one of the best clubs in history,“ he added. “I’m really happy to be here.

“I’m really excited to link up and to learn from [attacking players like Greenwood, Martial and Rashford].”

Pellistri could be in contention to make his debut for United when the club return to Premier League action on Saturday against Newcastle United.
