Facundo Pellistri agent gives Manchester United loan update

Facundo Pellistri is in talks to leave Manchester United on loan this month, his agent has confirmed.

Pellistri joined United from Uruguayan side Penarol, where he worked under former United forward Diego Forlan, in the summer.

The 19-year-old appeared on United's substitutes' bench in Champions League group stage-games against Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir last year but is yet to make a first-team appearance.

The MEN reported earlier this week that United were open to loaning Pellistri out and his agent, Edgardo Lasalvia, confirmed Spain is the most likely destination for the youngster.

"We’re working on that, surely Spain is the destination," Lasalvia told Fichajes when asked about Pellistri leaving temporarily.

Pellistri is a regular in United first-team training and recently opened up on his transition to life in England.

He named Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Edinson Cavani as his biggest influences in training.

He said: "It's been amazing to train with guys like Rashford, Pogba, Mata and Edi [Cavani], who is very close friends with me. It's amazing for me because I watched them on TV and now I am practising with them.

"The intensity, the high quality they have, it's great for me to play with them and I improve a lot."
