Factorie Is Fighting Gen Z Loneliness With A Melbourne Pop-Up Feat. Free Tees, Food & Tooth Gems

Melbournians, prepare to beef up your social calendars, ‘cos streetwear brand Factorie is taking community into its own hands.

Bestie, we know as well as anyone that sometimes you just want to get out with your friends! Aussies are experiencing a loneliness epidemic and as Gen Z fall further down the TikTok rabbit hole and become enamoured with whatever the hell new brainrot is trending, there’s been a distinct loss of in-person connection.

That’s where streetwear staple Factorie comes in. The brand is taking up residence at Melbourne’s No Vacancy Gallery in QV, looking to give back to the city, with the company’s general manager Jodie Bongetti saying, “This week is about showing up for our Melbourne community.”

There’ll be a week’s worth of freebies, food and music ready to rival your most epic shopping spree but what exactly will be on offer and, most importantly, how the heck do you get your hands on it?

What is Factorie giving away?

Ahhhh, so you’re interested in the freebies? Can’t say I blame you.

Every single day, they’ll be handing out 100 Factorie Authentics T-shirts that’ll be heat-pressed live with one of eight exclusive designs created by Factorie’s in-house artists. These are first-come, first-serve, so if you’re after a new wardrobe, best not leave it to the last minute.

Beyond that, there’s blueberry matcha (yum), tote bags (obvi) and a bunch of on the spot prizes. If you want an extra shot at some freebies, there’s a daily social media comp with the best post winning up to $500 worth of clothes.

And they said influencing wouldn’t pay the bills.

How exactly do I get myself there?

The takeover will last from Tuesday, March 24 ‘til Saturday, March 28, at Melbourne’s No Vacancy Gallery, QV. It’ll run from 8am – 4pm daily, but on Friday, they’ll extend ‘til 8pm for a little Fri-yay fun.

Tuesday and Saturday will see the infamous free tooth gem station set-up, ‘cos if you’re going to connect with people, you’ll need a dazzling smile!

Melbourne’s favourite Hector’s Deli is setting up shop for a Friday night fever, alongside a DJ spinning tracks to keep you entertained as your T-Shirt gets heat-pressed.

This, of course, will culminate on Saturday for an all-out celebration, with glazed doughnuts from Hector’s Deli and a bunch of fun moments to close out the massive week.

If you’re in the mood for a new heat-pressed ‘fit, friend or potentially a darling butterfly on your favourite incisor, better get yourself to No Vacancy Gallery, QV. This event is only running for the week so diva, don’t waste a second!
