Faces, events, fashions and legacies that have shaped Bristol throughout the years

The faces, events, fashions and legacies that have shaped Bristol and the surrounding area over generations have been brought together in a stunning new one-off souvenir publication.

The Bristol Post’s 64-page Memory Lane special is packed full of wonderful images from our area’s past and is in stock at local retailers now for just £2. You can also pick up a copy online here.

It follows our six-week Memory Lane series of themed publications earlier this year which struck a chord with readers longing to remember happier times as we coped with the restrictions of the Covid-19 lockdowns.

This new bumper edition gives us the chance to unearth even more hidden gems from our vast picture archive for you to enjoy, and to explore what it was like to live, work and play in Bristol in bygone times.

Faces, places and moments in history are frozen in time in our unique photo libraries, and putting this volume together has turned up many images that haven’t been seen since the first time they were used in our newspaper pages.

Through them, we want to tell the stories of our communities, through good times and bad. Stories that show the long legacy of caring that we see continued today in the dedication and sacrifice of our NHS heroes.

Stories of familiar street scenes that show how much has changed in our neighbourhoods - and how remains the same.

Stories of the fads and fashions, the music we listened to and the clothes we wore.

And as if this wasn’t enough, don’t forget to check out www.memorylane.co.uk, the

UK’s new interactive nostalgia website, packed full of amazing pictures and memories from years gone by.
