Slashing in JD Sport at Liverpool ONE
Police want to speak to the man pictured in Liverpool ONE after a knife attack in Liverpool city centre.
On Wednesday, December 22, a man was slashed in the face on Paradise Street, outside JD Sport.
The victim, in his 20s, was attacked at around 6.30pm and ran into nearby JD Sport after the assault.
He was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering a 'deep' slash across his face.
Detective Inspector David Jones said: "This man has suffered a serious injury that has left him with a deep lasting scar across his face.
"Thankfully he is now recovering at home, but this was still a horrible unprovoked attack that no one should go through when shopping in Liverpool.
"Since the assault we have carried out a number of CCTV and witness enquiries and would like to appeal to anyone who recognises this man or saw the attack whilst out shopping on Paradise Street to come forward and speak to us as we believe they could help with our enquiries.
"We have unfortunately in recent weeks seen the catastrophic consequences of knife crime on Merseyside. We simply will not stand by and allow people to carry knives and threaten the safety of themselves and others."

Man walks out of Co-op with £12,000
Police released CCTV stills of a man they wish to speak to after £12,000 was stolen during a burglary.
The money was stolen from the Co-op on Market Street in Hoylake on October 25 between 10.10pm and 10.45pm.
The stills show a man dressed in dark clothing inside the shop. He was not wearing a face mask.

"We are determined to find the offender so that other businesses are not targeted in future. If you were on Market Street around that time and noticed anything suspicious or saw someone running off then please let us know so we can bring the offender to justice.”
