Social media apps Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram all went down on Friday night.
Millions of users have been unable to login or use the websites and social media sites after a number of problems have been reported.
The three apps – all of which are part of the Facebook company, and share common technology – stopped working on Friday afternoon Irish time.
The website DownDetector said about Facebook that the most reported problems were total blackout (62%), login issues (18%) and app issues (18%).
More than 32,000 people have reported issues with WhatsApp.
As for Instagram and Facebook, over 28,000 and 1,300 reports have been registered so far, with that number expected to significantly rise.
Instagram is showing a server error while Facebook also has an error for users trying to login.
Facebook has released the following statement: "“We’re aware that some people are having trouble accessing some services across the Facebook family of apps. We’re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible.”
