Facebook’s Singapore office will make you want to quit your job

Facebook has moved to a brand new office in the heart of Singapore’s commercial hub.

The city is home to Facebook's Asia-Pacific headquarters since 2010 but the social media giant moved to a larger office on the 22nd floor of the South Beach Tower this summer. With unfinished ceilings, unpainted walls and large grey open rooms their new digs have a stylish, warehouse vibe.

Several local artists were hired to decorate the office’s walls, including one mural representing a blend of Eastern and Western culture by Justin Lee.

It is clear the company takes employees’ life and work balance seriously as  one floor has a section with board games, including a Facebook-customized mahjong set. The treadmill even has a view of Singapore's skyline for employees that want to burn off the calories gained in the modern kitchen or stylish beer garden.

Currently there are  over 40 positions available to be filled, according to Facebook careers website.

Facebook revealed the Asia Pacific region was its best source of new users with an increase of 5.6 per cent in daily active users in the second quarter compared to the same period last year.

Around 285 million people use the platform every day in the region, Facebook said.

The site itself has 1.5 billion users, alongside 400 million Instagram users and 900 million Whatsapp users.
