It’s one of the most popular social media apps around, but it seems that Facebook is having some serious issues with the latest version of its iOS app this week.
Facebook launched v229.0 on the App Store on July 11, promising ‘several bug fixes and performance improvements.’
However, since downloading the update, many users claim that the app keeps crashing.
Several frustrated users have taken to Twitter to vent their concerns.
One user tweeted: “Facebook your 229.0 update has a bug which causes it to close unexpectedly after a minute or so EVERY TIME it’s opened on iphone.”
Another wrote: “Whoever green lighted your latest iPhone update should probably quit their day job.”
Meanwhile, one user joked: “The new ‘crash every 30 seconds’ feature on the latest iOS Facebook update is great for limiting screen time. Such a responsible move!”
Unfortunately, the reason for this crashing remains unclear.
Despite several users tweeting at the Facebook account, the tech giant is yet to reply or comment on the issue.
