Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp login working again as thousands report outage

Thousands of social media users are reporting problems with Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp.

Downdector.co.uk has received around 10,000 complaints since 11am on Sunday.

Users say that the social media networking site won't load on desktop or mobile devices, while others are reporting that their timelines won't refresh.

As with previous trends when Facebook is not working, social media users head to Twitter to express their anger.

One person said: "Anybody else, Facebook Instagram and WhatsApp down?? Christ maybe I’ll be actually able to watch a full film today if they are!"

Others have joked that the impending series of Game of Thrones is the cause of the problem.

Why are all three networks not working?

In short, they all belong to Facebook. So even if you're trying to use Instagram for your social media fix, you'll still have problems. The same with Whatsapp.

Is it just mobile phones not working?

No, the problem is affecting both mobile phone and desktop/laptop devices.

Where is affected?

It appears to be a global problem as there are reports of issues worldwide.
