Facebook F8 livestream: How to watch the company's biggest event of the year live

Facebook is about to hold the biggest event of its year, and reveal what the site is about to look like.

The company is set to reveal a huge range of new features including chatbots and updates to its Oculus virtual reality platform.

The announcement can be watched live on Facebook’s special F8 website. Once the keynote is over, videos will continue to be shown on that site throughout the two days of “keynotes, speaker sessions and interviews”, Facebook said.

The two big keynotes take place at the beginning of the first and second day, at 10am local time or 6PM in the UK. They then continue until the end of the day, with sessions ofcusing on messenger, using Facebook for news and Oculus rift announcements.

But the first keynote is set to be the biggest. As with many technology announcements and conferences, CEO Mark Zuckerberg will take the stage along with guests and lay out the headline features that the site intends to roll out over the next year.

The proceedings will also be liveblogged on The Independent, and covered well after they are over.
