Craig Kelly's main Facebook page has been removed for repeated posts promoting coronavirus misinformation, but the federal politician still has several other pages.

Mr Kelly has defected to the cross bench after leaving the coalition government so he could continue speaking out against public health information.

He has shared misinformation throughout the coronavirus pandemic, with social media behemoth Facebook finally taking action on Monday.

"We don't allow anyone, including elected officials, to share misinformation about COVID-19 that could lead to imminent physical harm or COVID-19 vaccines that have been debunked by public health experts," a company spokesman said.

"We have clear policies against this type of content and have removed Mr Kelly's Facebook page for repeated violations of this policy."

Mr Kelly has another Facebook page, as well as Twitter and Instagram accounts where he shares the same content based on COVID-19 misinformation and climate change denial.
