On Instagram people have been reporting problems with their news feed.
And others are experiencing a 'total blackout' on Facebook.
One user said he was experiencing 'blank pages everywhere, no error messages in browser'.
Whereas another reported receiving the message of 'sorry something went wrong, we're working to get this fixed as soon as we can'.
People have taken to rival social media site, Twitter to post about their concerns.
