Face of 'violent' armed Clifton man who went on 14-hour robbing spree

A 19-year-old robber described as "very violent" went on a robbing spree in Clifton over a 14 hour period - which included threatening to stab one of his victims.

Jack Dennis, formerly of Rivergreen, Clifton, appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Tuesday, April 14 having pleaded guilty to one count of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery.

Nottinghamshire Police revealed that between the hours of around 12.30am and 2.40pm on October 25, 2019, Dennis carried out a series of attacks which involved threatening to stab a man in Clifton Lane and getting away with a bank card.

He then attempted to rob two students at the Nottingham Trent University Clifton Campus but one victim was tripped over and kicked to the head before Dennis ran off.

He then chased a younger person in Green Croft demanding him to empty his pockets.

Dennis was arrested at the scene of this incident after police were called.

He was charged as a result of the witness accounts and evidence gathered which linked him to all three incidents.

Dennis was sentenced to four years in prison.

Detective Constable Ben Hensell said: "Dennis is clearly a very violent individual who didn't think twice about threatening to stab his victims that day and he clearly thought himself above the law.

"I'm glad that he has been held to account for his crimes and hope it sends the message out that people like Dennis will not get away with their vile and threatening behaviour."
