Face of man police want to speak to after assault

Merseyside police have released an image of a man they want to trace in connection a report of an assault.

Officers are looking for Paul Blackhurst, from Litherland, as they believe he may be able to help an investigation into a crime. The 28-year-old may have information about an attack that took place in Litherland in December last year.

He is described as 5ft 10in and of medium build, with short brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone who recognises him or knows where he is is being asked to contact police.

A spokesperson for Merseyside police said: "Officers are appealing for help in locating a Sefton man they would like to speak to in connection with a report of an assault. It is believed Paul Blackhurst, 28, from Litherland, may be able to help with enquiries following reports of an assault which took place in Litherland in December 2021.

"He is described as 5ft 10in, medium build, short brown hair and blue eyes. If you see you recognise him or know where he is, contact us via @MerPolCC on Twitter, ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre’ on Facebook, or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 with reference 21000874479."
