A 19-year-old drug dealer has been sent to prison for driving offences and having heroin and cocaine.
Jake Hardy appeared at Nottingham Crown Court on Friday, May 1, having pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine.
Hardy, formerly of Carsic Road in Sutton-in-Ashfield, was spotted driving dangerously on July 26 in 2019 and, following a police a chase, was arrested on suspicion of driving a stolen moped.
His house was searched and a quantity of drugs were found and seized along with a "large quantity" of cash leading to him being arrested.
The investigation continued and a few months later a drugs warrant was executed and another large quantity of drugs, cash and weapons were recovered, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Hardy was again arrested and subsequently charged with drug offences.
At the crown court, he was jailed for four years and five months.
Police Constable Jamie Hinks said: "Hardy had attempted to evade officers on a moped showing complete disregard for the safety of other motorists.
"I'm satisfied that Hardy is now being held to account for his actions following a lengthy and intricate investigation.
"Along with dealing drugs, he caused numerous issues in the community and brought misery to the Carsic Estate residents.
"We have listened to the residents, worked with partners and the community to put a criminal behind bars.
"Drugs supply will not be tolerated in Nottinghamshire and we will continue to pursue those involved in this type of criminality."
