'Fabulous' Allerton restaurant Miyagi set to close after four years

Popular Allerton restaurant Miyagi has announced its closure today - alongside its sister restaurant in Ormskirk .

The two venues, which both launched in 2016, will close their doors for the final time on Sunday, April 7.

Taking to Facebook to announce the closure, Mr M himself said: "It is with great sadness that Mr M will be closing his doors permanently.

“Both Allerton and Ormskirk’s last day will be Sunday 7th April. We are very proud of all we have created along Mr M's journey, we have met and made some fabulous regulars and friends.

“We thank every single one of you who have been part of our journey, whether you have dined/drank with us once or a hundred times, thank you.

“Again to all our staff, you make us what we are and we are so proud of and grateful to our amazing team.

“We hope to see you all one last time (or many) before we close and will be offering 25% off food as a little farewell from us. Love and gratitude Mr M xx

'Amazing' city centre restaurant HOST has closed after 10 years in business

“Both Allerton and Ormskirk will be evolving separately, with exciting new concepts.”

While the two restaurants close their doors in two weeks’ time, Mr M promises they will be coming back as brand new concepts.

Customers have already taken to Facebook to express their disappointment, commenting “Very sad to hear this, need to come get a final fix” and “No way, my favourite place in the world”.

Another user commented: “Probably one of the saddest posts I’ve ever read” alongside a broken heart emoji.

The pan-asian inspired restaurants said goodbye to their other sister venue, on Bold Street, in 2017.
