Fabio Wardley vows to deliver ‘all guns blazing’ performance against Daniel Dubois

  • Fabio Wardley is set to make his first defence of the WBO heavyweight world title against Daniel Dubois at Manchester’s Co-op Live this Saturday night.
  • Wardley has stated his readiness to confront Dubois’s formidable power, expressing his willingness to enter a “dark place” during the fight and engage in a head-on battle with “all guns blazing”.
  • Daniel Dubois, a former world champion himself, possesses a strong record with 21 stoppages from 22 wins, including a notable knockout of Anthony Joshua in September 2024.
  • Wardley, who holds a record of 20-0-1 with 19 knockouts, was upgraded to full WBO champion after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title and has previously demonstrated his ability to absorb significant punishment in tough bouts.
  • The Ipswich-born boxer highlighted that his primary motivation is the “thrill of winning” and the desire to continually push his own boundaries, rather than any fear of defeat.
