Fabio Paratici reveals Tottenham stance on Harry Kane amid summer exit rumours

It's the saga that looks set to run all summer, but new director of football Fabio Paratici has given some clarity on the situation with Harry Kane, from the club's point of view.

It is well documented that Kane wishes to end his 17-year association with Spurs this summer, in order to pursue the trophies and success he doesn't feel he can achieve at the club.

But, whilst there has been a reported bid from Manchester City as well as interest from rivals Chelsea, it seems unlikely that a club will be able to match Daniel Levy's £150million valuation of the striker.

And now Fabio Paratici has weighed in with the clubs official stance on a transfer happening this summer.

Speaking to SkySport Italia, Paratici said the following: "We want to keep Harry Kane at Tottenham, it’s our goal. I’ve been lucky to see many top players at Juventus and I want to enjoy Harry Kane too. He’s one of the best strikers in the world.

"I’ve not had any conversation with Harry Kane yet - just because I don’t want to disturb our players during the Euros. He’s an incredible striker."

So, clearly from the club's point of view there is no interest in allowing one of their most prized assets to leave this summer.

Kane will be hoping to lead his England team to a first ever European Championships final when they play Denmark this Wednesday, and then onto glory should they make it to the final.

From Paratici it seems that conversations will be had after the Euros, so Spurs fans will have to wait a little longer to find out what his future holds.

However, at least there is now clarity that the club wish to keep their star talent.
