Fabio Paratici hands Tottenham transfer boost that may help Spurs beat Chelsea to AC Milan star

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie is ‘overwhelmed’ by the interest Fabio Paratici has shown in him, according to the latest reports.

Kessie is entering the final year of his contract with the Rossoneri and will be allowed to speak to clubs about signing on a free transfer in January.

He has reportedly been offered a new five-year deal with an annual salary of €6.5million (£5.5million) with Milan, but hasn’t yet agreed to those terms, which has alerted the likes of Spurs, Chelsea and Ligue 1 giants, PSG.

There have been rumours that Spurs are ready to make an offer of €8million (£6.8million ) a year for the Ivorian, but with Chelsea’s superior spending power, the north London club are always going to be wary of a potential deal going wayward.

However, as per JuveLive, via Sport Witness, they may have developed an early lead in the race to sign Kessie.

The report states that the midfielder has been ‘overwhelmed’ by flattery from Paratici, as the Italian has moved eagerly in an attempt to sign him ahead of the competition.

Kessie is seen as a leader in the Milan squad and would be an invaluable addition to Nuno Espirito Santo’s new Spurs project.

Paratici has already shown what he can do in the transfer market - helping to bring in five new faces in Emerson Royal, Cristian Romero, Bryan Gil, Pierliugi Gollini and Pape Matar Sarr – and it seems as though he is already planning for future windows.

If he does manage to help get Kessie over the line, it will be a huge coup for him, and an even bigger statement of intent from Spurs.
