Fabio Paratici gives verdict on Harry Kane at Tottenham after Antonio Conte appointment

Fabio Paratici has given his verdict on Harry Kane's future in north London, after the uncertainty that came during the summer.

Paratici took the pre match press conference with the media on Wednesday, as the north London club await Antonio Conte's work permit.

The Italian's appointment was announced on Tuesday, following the dismissal of Nuno Espirito Santo at the start of the week, after negative chants and boos filled the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at the weekend, in the 3-0 defeat against Man United.

Kane is one player whose future in N17 during the summer was uncertain, but after a failed move to Man City, the England captain remained with the Lilywhites.

The 28-year-old has struggled to find his form so far this season and despite scoring seven goals so far this campaign, only one has come in the Premier League.

This is not what is expected from the three time Golden Boot winner and as well as not netting goals, a number of fans thought he wasn't putting in 100% effort in matches under Espirito Santo.

Supporters will be hoping this now changes with Conte's appointment as the new manager, with the Italian being a "serial winner" and already having success at Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan during his career.

football.london understands that Kane is happy with his new boss and excited to start work with the 52-year-old, which everyone will be hoping improves the form Spurs are currently in.

In the pre match press conference, Tottenham's managing director of football was asked whether the new appointment would help Kane.

"I don't think it's just about Harry Kane. We are here to work, to achieve our ambitions like a club, as a club, not as personal people," he said.

"We search to do the best for this club every day to build something good, not just for this season but for the long-term project. This is the answer. It's not just about Harry, but about everybody else."

The Italian didn't give too much away on what it will mean for the striker but there is likely to be hope from everyone involved in the club that Conte is the push that Kane needs to get back to his peak form.

The 28-year-old isn't the only player fans will be hoping the Italian can improve as the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Winks are both struggling to find form but also find their place in the matchday squad.

The Lilywhites face Vitesse in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, before travelling North to play Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.

Both fixtures are perfect opportunities for Kane to net some goals, to not only help his form but also impress his new manager.
