Fabio Paratici delivers updates on Harry Kane's Tottenham future and interest in Dusan Vlahovic

Tottenham Hotspur director Fabio Paratici has confirmed that Harry Kane loves the club whilst seemingly confirming he admires Fiorentina's Dusan Vlahovic.

Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the summer and City boss Pep Guardiola repeatedly made it no secret of his interest in the England captain.

Rumours of the 28-year-old leaving N17 dominated the headlines over the course of the transfer window before he eventually confirmed that he would be staying at Nuno Espirito Santo's side for the season.

Still, Spurs' talisman has struggled in front of goal this term, failing to net a single goal in the Premier League, a poor return considering he notched 33 goals and 17 assists across all competitions last season.

Now, Paratici has confirmed that the club are delighted that they were able to hold onto the prolific centre-forward and claimed that Kane still loves the club.

"Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we’re happy with our choice. There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs," he said at the Festival dello Sport event.

Tottenham have also been linked with Fiorentina frontman Dusan Vlahovic, who recently turned down a new contract with the Italian side after netting 21 league goals last season - an impressive return considering he is still only 21-years-old.

Paratici has seemingly confirmed that he admires the player but refused to be drawn into any transfer talk, stating that the Serbian international isn't currently in the Lillywhites' transfer plans.

"Dusan Vlahovic is appreciated by many clubs, it’s normal - he’s not in our plans, for now," he added.

"I’m not gonna speak about Dusan Vlahovic as he’s under contract with Fiorentina… and also because we’ve Harry Kane, who’s the best centre-striker in the world."
