Fabio Carvalho and his management team have offered a hint that the youngster intends to fight for his place at Liverpool beyond his new loan spell.
The Reds allowed the youngster to depart for RB Leipzig, with Dominik Szoboszlai also destined to head in the opposite direction as part of an unrelated deal. It comes after a first season at Liverpool with limited game time for the former Fulham man.
This will mark the first time in the 20-year-old's professional senior career that he has played outside of England, and offers an exciting prospect.
Players returning from loans to supplement the game time they otherwise would not have had at Anfield has happened on numerous occasions under Jurgen Klopp, and it has led to several success stories. Divock Origi and Harvey Elliott spring to mind.

Now, Carvalho - via Instagram - has offered a hint that he is seeking to replicate his Liverpool alumni.
Upon the announcement of his transfer, the Portugal Under-21 international was involved in a collaborative post with his agents, Concilium Sport. Captioned underneath the post was the following statement:
"What you've been waiting for. @_Fabio.10 will join @rbleipzig on a season long loan.
"We are delighted to bring this deal to a close and look forward to seeing Fab in the @bundesliga @championsleague for the 2023 - 2024 season.
"Thanks @liverpoolfc and we'll see you on the other side of a top season."
Following on from comments made to the German club's website for his announcement, there seems to a slight relief to escape the pressures of the Premier League and rediscover the path his development was on prior to last season.
However, that last statement of the post - "we'll see you on the other side" - suggests Carvalho is certainly not ready to throw in the towel on his time in England just yet.
Given Liverpool's stance that they were not open to a permanent deal for the youngster, it seems player and parent club are very much on the same page.
