Fabinho's wife Rebeca Tavares sends Liverpool fans timely reminder after Man City defeat

Fabinho's wife, Rebeca Tavares, has offered a timely reminder to a Liverpool supporter following their 4-1 defeat to Manchester City.

The Reds were beaten at home by the current Premier League leaders after an impressive second-half showing from the visitors, albeit with the help of the hosts.

Alisson made two costly mistakes that led to Ilkay Gundogan putting City 2-1 up and then moments later, Raheem Sterling capitalised after some good work from Bernardo Silva to catch the Brazil goalkeeper out.

Mohamed Salah had equalised for the champions after Gundogan handed City the lead after half-time despite missing a penalty himself earlier. Phil Foden then wrapped the game up with a solo goal to cap off a miserable evening for Liverpool.

Any defeat tends to not sit well with Reds supporters understandably so but after three successive home defeats for the Merseyside club, social media reaction can perhaps be blown out of proportion.

Fabinho 's wife, Tavares, who can often be found tweeting about her husband's team, having often shown her support for the Reds since he signed, shared a simple comment on the social media website, saying: "YNWA", accompanied by a love heart and a muscle-flexing emoji.

One Liverpool fan replied, saying: "Not now Rebeca", to which she responded: "Why not?! YNWA only works when they win?! You must all understand that #ynwa it's for all circumstances , winning or losing. And believe me, they need it more now!"

Tavares could indeed be right, with Liverpool looking like a shadow of the side that stormed to their first league title in 30 years last season.

It is understandable, though, with the amount of first-team players Jurgen Klopp is missing and has been without for the majority of the campaign.

The Reds now have six days without a game before they travel to third-place Leicester City next Saturday in a clash that could be pivotal for their top-four hopes.
