Fabinho's wife Rebeca Tavares has opened up on her own football career.
Tavares, 25, has been a regular visitor at Liverpool matches following her husband's move to Anfield last summer.
And while she is known for supporting the Reds midfielder, Tavares also enjoyed a career of her own on the football pitch.
She even spent time with Monaco's women side before deciding to retire upon her move to Merseyside with Fabinho.
Tavares moved to Spain from Brazil when she was just six and admits there was one Selecao legend that caught her eye.
“My family are a typical Brazilian family, we always watched football and I’ve loved football since I was a kid," she told HerFootballHub.
“I remember one moment in particular that made me start watching and also playing football. It was when Ronaldinho started playing in Europe. His style captivated me.”
Despite her love for the game, Tavares admits she was regularly told "football isn't for women".
After some time in Spain, she moved to Monaco with her now husband and signed for the club's women's side in January 2018.
She would only spend a matter of months with the French side before Fabinho made his big-money move to Liverpool.
But despite hanging up her boots, Tavares admits she is living the dream through her husband.
Replying to a tweet last month from a fan, pleading for her to continue her career, Tavares replied: "For me to watch Fabs playing in this level, it’s like my dream came true but in his feet."
