Fabinho named in Brazil squad despite injury ruling him out of Liverpool's clash with Brighton

Alisson Becker, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino have all been named in the Brazil squad for their November international fixtures.

The Liverpool trio have been selected in The Selecao’s 23-man pool for the fixtures with Colombia and Argentina next month.

Brazil face Colombia in Sao Paulo on November 12 before taking on Argentina at the San Juan del Bicentenario Stadium four days later.

Fabinho’s inclusion in Tite’s squad comes on the same day he was ruled out of Liverpool’s clash with Brighton at Anfield tomorrow.

The former Monaco man is yet to resume training after picking up a knee injury that has kept him out of his side’s last two games.

Speaking on the injury, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp said : “With Fabinho it doesn’t look that good, it’s a bit more complicated.

“Not too complicated, but complicated enough to keep him out now again, probably. I still wait for the last news, but he was not in team training yet and that is never a good sign.”

Former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho has also been included in the squad, as has Manchester City pair Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea's Thiago Silva, Tottenham's Ederson, Manchester United's Fred and Leeds United's Raphinha.
