'Fabinho is better' - Liverpool fans say same thing as Declan Rice transfer links emerge

Deadline day may have passed, but rumours continue to make the headlines as Declan Rice is the latest name to be linked with a move to Liverpool.

The West Ham midfielder has been long been the subject of transfer speculation, as Chelsea were heavily linked with the player this summer.

A move failed to materialise and the 22-year-old will remain at the London Stadium for the remainder of the season, but it is believed he'll move on next year.

According to 90min, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool have all made it known that they are 'very much interested' in securing his signature as a result of his superb form over the last 18 months.

Liverpool supporters aren't convinced, though.

One fan tweeted: "And where would he play for us?"

Another said: "Fabinho is quite a bit better and West Ham want £100m. Zero chance."

One added: "No way we sign him when he'd just be on the bench and he starts for all the other teams."

The Reds already have Fabinho, who signed a fresh contract with the club this summer and many feel there wouldn't be room for Rice in Liverpool's squad.

Jude Bellingham is another midfielder Liverpool have been loosely linked with in recent times and for a number of supporters, he's the preferred option over Rice.

The 18-year-old is lighting up the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund and many expect him to follow in Jadon Sancho's footsteps and return to England sooner, rather than later.

Liverpool are also 'monitoring' the former Birmingham City man, if recent reports are to be believed.

@LFC__James said: "He’s great but with the money they’d ask for you could probably go out and buy Bellingham instead."

@LewYNWA tweeted: "Bellingham >"

@janawade_kedar shared: "No, thanks. Would rather sign Bellingham."

@CousinCAH posted: "Rather Bellingham or Phillips than Rice but all will probably cost too much for us."
