Fabian Schar admits he was robbed of a penalty in Newcastle United's 1-1 draw at Brighton.
The Swiss international made one of his trademark runs into the box but was tripped at the decisive moment and Mike Dean waved away protests.
United were also denied two spot-kicks when Isaac Hayden's effort struck the arm of a defender and Salomon Rondon was also upended in the danger zone.
Speaking after the game, Schar said: "If I go down it's a penalty.
"I felt the contact but it's not my intention to go on the floor to get a penalty.
"I just tried to get the ball.
"Maybe it is a penalty but that's football."
Schar has also expressed his disappointment at not getting all three points against the relegation haunted Seagulls.
He said: "In the first half we were quite good and had the game under control.
"We scored but we needed the second one.
"In the second half we didn't keep the ball well and they pressed aggressively.
"A point is always good away from home but we wanted three points."
Schar and United must now dust themselves down and prepare for the huge game against Liverpool on Saturday night.
The former Deportivo la Coruna man told NUFC TV: "We have a very tough game against Liverpool.
"At the end you want to finish with a win.
"We will do everything to get some points out of the last two games and then we'll see what happens."
