Fabian Delph takes first step at Everton as training begins

Fabian Delph is training with Everton for the first time this morning.

The 29-year-old completed his move from Manchester City last night in a deal worth an initial £8.5m.

Delph, who has signed a three-year deal, travelled to Switzerland on Monday and could now play some part in Friday's friendly with AS Monaco.

The England international was part of the squad that left their Verbier hotel just after 10am and took cable cars down to the Stade St Marc where Everton have been training.

It is the same venue the game with FC Sion took place on Sunday and where the Blues face Monaco at the end of the week.

Delph made 20 appearances for City last season as they claimed a domestic treble but the midfielder did not feature in a league game after late January.
