Former Leeds United midfielder Fabian Delph has reacted to Kalvin Phillips’s performance in the Whites’ 3-0 win over Fulham on Saturday.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side moved three points clear of West Bromwich Albion at the top of the Championship table, after the Baggies were beaten at Brentford on Friday night.
Goals from Patrick Bamford, Ezgjan Alioski and Jack Harrison secured the three points for Bielsa’s team on Saturday afternoon.
Everton midfielder Delph, who is a product of the Leeds academy system, commented on Phillips Instagram post.
Phillips played a key part in the victory and carried on his impressive form from this season.
The 24-year-old said: “What a result! Great way to bounce back!! Buzzing for the boys scoring! @patrick_bamford @gjanni.alioski @jackharrison11 we keep fighting”
Delph commented: “The Yorkshire Pirlo love it bro”
Jack Clarke, who is on loan at Queens Park Rangers from Tottenham, also commented: “Love it you”
There are seven matches remaining in the second-tier, and Leeds are now eight points ahead of Brentford - who sit in third-place.
If Bielsa was able to take the Yorkshire side into the Premier League, it would be the first time they have been in the top-flight since the 2003-04 season.
