The FA will consider making changes to VAR in next season’s FA Cup with pressure increasing to extend its use to grounds outside the top flight.
Discussions are set to take place between the FA, the Professional Game Board and referees’ chiefs over how video assistant referees are deployed in the competition.
VAR was controversially used for two of the FA Cup quarter-finals last weekend but not the two ties held at Championship grounds.
Swansea’s Liberty Stadium is equipped to use the technology but the FA decided to stick with its policy to have VAR only at Premier League grounds this season.
A statement issued by a Swansea spokesman on Saturday expressed surprise at VAR's absence.
"We are in the dark ourselves over the non-use of VAR here and that it would only be used in Premier League stadiums," he said.
"That seems a bit strange considering we were there for seven years and all the technology is placed here to accommodate it."
