FA decision on WSL offers hint for Everton and Premier League

The Football Association have said they hope to complete the Women's Super League by early August, according to reports.

Everton Women have eight games remaining and the BBC are today reporting that the FA's intention is for the season to be finished before the end of the summer.

The FA's reported stance mirrors that of the Premier League who, at this stage, remain committed to finishing the season, if safe to do so.

Premier League football remains suspended until April 30 but at a shareholders' meeting, due to take place on Friday, another extension is expected.

A statement, issued in conjunction with the EFL and PFA, reiterated that stance and confirmed that at next week's meeting they hope to formulate a joint plan of action to deal with the "difficult circumstances" facing the league, club, staff and fans.
