Accrington Stanley v Derby
Ashley Cole, the man with most FA Cup titles, is working on his fitness, so will not be in action. Accrington will be pleased if not unsurprised by this as they aim to take successive Championship scalps. A clean bill of health will aid their endeavour but Sam Finley beginning a five-match suspension for violent conduct is a blow. Derby showed their hand in twice coming back from 2-0 down against Southampton in the previous round’s first tie and replay. Frank Lampard has some experience of Cup success too. Graham Searles
AFC Wimbledon v West Ham
It is 39 years since West Ham lifted the FA Cup and Manuel Pellegrini is set on guiding his side into the fifth round to stay on course for glory. AFC Wimbledon are bottom of League One and should be there for the taking, despite predicted rotation by Pellegrini. AFC are in the fourth round for the first time at home though and could be inspired to pull of a huge upset. Graham Searles
Barnet v Brentford
A record Hive crowd is set to watch two swarms of Bees battle for a place in the fifth round, a stage Barnet have never reached. The only non-league club still standing, won at Sheffield United in the third round but lost 4-0 at Braintree last Saturday and had their first-choice goalkeeper sent off. Rihards Matrevics, 19, is therefore in line for a first senior start. Brentford are unbeaten in seven and have won their last three after a sticky run. Jon Brodkin
Brighton v West Brom
Brighton might be well clear of the Premier League relegation scrap but Chris Hughton will shuffle the pack when Darren Moore’s Championship promotion chasers arrive. “There’s a big value for the squad to keep them involved and for them to be playing some games,” he says of his fringe players, so Jason Steele, Dan Burn, Bruno, Beram Kayal and Florin Andone could all start. Reduced ticket prices mean something approaching a full house is likely at the Amex Stadium, though West Brom may rotate too with important games coming up. Nick Ames
Chelsea v Sheffield Wednesday
The visitors will be roared on by 6,000 away supporters with this an occasion to inject some impetus into a rather mediocre campaign to date. Steve Bruce, their incoming manager who will take up the reins on 1 February, could well be able to watch from his Caribbean holiday given the Test match may not creep into a fifth day. Chelsea could hand Gonzalo Higuaín a first appearance, but the Carabao Cup finalists’ selection will presumably reflect an important midweek game at Bournemouth. Dominic Fifield
Crystal Palace v Tottenham
Tottenham’s options feel rather threadbare at present as they stagger under the weight of a hefty injury list, but they have won on their last four trips to Selhurst Park and will face a Crystal Palace team with one eye on a critical game at Southampton next midweek. The hosts’ defence, in particular, will be much changed and one of Christian Benteke or Connor Wickham is likely to start. Spurs, stung by losing in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, may trust in youth and fringe players, but they do not lack in quality. Dominic Fifield
Doncaster Rovers v Oldham
Doncaster have a good chance to make the fifth round for the first time since 1956 against League Two’s Oldham. Grant McCann is confident his side will be able to cope with the pressure, too. Oldham will hardly be nervous about the trip though, after breaking Fulham’s hearts in the previous round. Graham Searles
Manchester City v Burnley
Pep Guardiola says it is a “fantasy” for Manchester City to claim a historic quadruple but as a manager who wants to win every game he surely, secretly, at least ponders if this is achievable. Whatever XI he fields will be strong and though Burnley can be awkward it is a rare day indeed when the champions are turned over in their own backyard so expect them to progress to the fifth round. Jamie Jackson
Middlesbrough v Newport County
Newport caused one of the biggest shocks of the third round after beating Leicester 2-1 at Rodney Parade. They face the 542-mile round-trip to the Riverside, where a well-drilled Tony Pulis-managed Middlesbrough, who have leaked only 20 goals in the Championship, lie in wait. A win for Newport would book their place in the fifth round for the first time since 1949 and only the second in their history. Jonty Colman
Millwall v Everton
Millwall beat three Premier League teams en route to the FA Cup quarter-finals in 2017 and Neil Harris’s side may fancy their chances of securing another top-flight scalp given Everton’s form. The visitors arrive having lost three of their last five games and on the back of a particularly poor display at Southampton. The pressure is on Everton to respond against opponents who are 19th in the Championship and are expected to be backed by a raucous crowd. Sachin Nakrani
Newcastle v Watford
Rafael Benítez hopes to lead Newcastle into the fifth round for the first time in 13 years. Under Mike Ashley’s ownership the six times winners have never prioritised the competition but Benítez has pledged to juggle Premier League survival with the pursuit of silverware. “We’ll try to go through,” he said. “Will it be the strongest team in terms of match fitness? Maybe not.” After collecting four league points against Watford this season, his players have cause for rare Cup optimism. Louise Taylor
Portsmouth v QPR
League One leaders Portsmouth toppled Championship title challengers Norwich City in the third round, a task they will have to repeat against fellow second-tier side QPR at Fratton Park. This afternoon’s clash is only the second time that Portsmouth have reached the fourth round since finishing as runners-up to Chelsea in 2010. History between the two sides favours the hosts; QPR have not won in their last seven meetings against the 2008 winners of the Cup. Jonty Colman
Shrewsbury v Wolves
Wolves have a short trip up the M54 into Shropshire and are likely to be tested by a Shrewsbury side fresh from knocking out Stoke. If they can pull off an even greater giant killing it will be just their second fifth round appearance in 27 years. They will not be able to call on the services of former Wolves stalwart Dave Edwards who has a groin problem. Willy Boly is suspended for Wolves. Graham Searles
Swansea v Gillingham
This ought to be a special day for Steve Lovell, Gillingham’s manager, who was born and raised in Swansea. After knocking out Cardiff in the previous round, Lovell will be hoping to pull off another upset against the club for whom he made two appearances during a loan spell in the late 1980s. A combination of illness and injury has depleted Graham Potter’s options but Swansea should still be confident of extending their five-match unbeaten run. Stuart James
