- It has been confirmed by the Football Association that the FA Cup final will kick off at 3pm on Saturday 16 May at Wembley.
- Last year’s final, which saw Crystal Palace pull off an upset victory over Manchester City, started at 4.30pm, but this year’s showpiece event has been pushed forward to an earlier kick-off time.
- The FA has made the announcement over three weeks before the final following criticism from Leeds fans for taking several days after the quarter-final ties to confirm the dates and kick-off times for the semi-finals.
- The FA Cup semi-finals are due to take place this weekend, with Man City facing Southampton on Saturday, before Leeds take on Chelsea on Sunday.
- The winners of the two ties will then meet in the final, with Man City aiming to reach the final for the fourth consecutive season.
