  • Sky Sports has secured a contract extension to broadcast Formula 1 in the UK until 2034, prolonging their partnership to over two decades.
  • The new agreement also extends Sky's rights to broadcast F1 in Italy until 2032, building on their existing coverage.
  • Sky originally acquired the live broadcasting rights for every F1 Grand Prix from the BBC in 2012, and subsequently launched a dedicated F1 channel.
  • Under the terms of the extended deal, highlights of Formula 1 races will continue to be made available on a free-to-air channel, with Channel 4 currently holding these rights.
