F1 testing 2021: Drivers schedule, timings, TV channel, how to watch live stream, weather

Formula One teams take to the track for the first time in 2021 as pre-season testing gets under way on Friday.

There's plenty to digest ahead of the new season - with only three teams sticking with the same drivers - and everyone will be on show across three days at the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

Here's how you can follow along...

Testing Schedule

Testing will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a morning session and an afternoon session.

Each session will last for four hours; from 7am to 11am and 12pm to 4pm GMT.

Which drivers will be on show?

All of them! Each team will have a morning driver and an afternoon driver. Here's the plan for day one.

  • Mercedes: Bottas then Hamilton
  • Red Bull: Verstappen
  • McLaren: Ricciardo then Norris
  • Aston Martin: Vettel then Stroll
  • Alpine: Ocon
  • Ferrari: Leclerc then Sainz
  • AlphaTauri: Gasly then Tsunoda
  • Alfa Romeo: Raikkonen then Giovinazzi
  • Haas: Schumacher then Mazepin
  • Williams: Nissany

How to watch

TV channel: Sky Sports F1 have exclusive UK rights, with build-up starting from 6.50am GMT. There will be a pause for the lunch break, with coverage resuming at 11.55am GMT for the afternoon session.

Live stream: Sky Sports subscribers will be able to watch the match online via the website or Sky Go app.

Weather

Unsurprisingly, Bahrain has a dry forecast for the three days with a high of 31C.
