F1 star Lando Norris had his watch stolen as he watched England's Euros defeat at Wembley.
The McLaren driver was left 'shaken' after the incident which followed the penalty loss to Italy on Sunday.
Wales Online reports that the driver, who is set to compete in this weekend's British Grand Prix at Silverstone, had posted a picture of himself on Instagram at the game.
McLaren have now confirmed the 'incident'.
A spokesman said: "McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident, after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley, during which the watch he was wearing was taken.
“Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken.
“The team is supporting Lando and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend.
“As this is now a police matter we cannot comment further.”
London's Metropolitan Police said there had been 53 arrests connected to the match for a variety of offences.
The force also reported 19 officers had been injured as they confronted “volatile” crowds.
