"F1" movie hits "F1 25" as Lewis Hamilton shares exciting in-game tie-in

Lewis Hamilton has reflected on his part in the F1 movie and has shared that the blockbuster has come to the F1 25 game, giving fans the opportunity to experience some of the best moments of the film in the game.

"I’m still so proud to have been a producer on The F1 Movie," he wrote on X. "Being a part of bringing the world of F1 to the big screen was a major rush. If you want to experience that energy yourself, we've recreated some of the best moments from the film in F1 25."

The seven-time champion served as an executive producer on the film, which was directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The movie follows nomadic racing driver Sonny Hayes, portrayed by Brad Pitt, as he returns to Formula 1 to join the struggling APXGP.

Hayes joins rookie driver Joshua Pearce, played by British actor Damson Idris, as they work to bring the team a race win in the final nine races of the season to save the team from going under.

The movie has already seen great success, surpassing $630million at the global box office and 97% public and 83% professional ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

"Coming on board to this project as a producer has been such an incredible learning process for me, seeing what goes into making a feature film, and there’s been a lot of learning on the other side too as everyone has got to grips with Formula 1," Hamilton told F1.com ahead of the film's release in June 2025.

"I’ve always loved film and telling stories, and I’ve loved this sport since I was five years old, so when I got the opportunity to speak with Joe Kosinski and Jerry Bruckheimer about the project, it felt like the two worlds I’m passionate about coming together.

"I remember in the early days of the project I got to meet with Brad and go through the script, join meetings with the teams at Apple and Formula 1, and be part of some of the early casting processes. From those first conversations, to watching it all come together, it’s just been a super cool experience and I can’t wait for everyone to see it!"
