F1 Miami GP: Sunday race schedule, weather, and how to watch

Formula 1 continues its 2026 Miami Grand Prix weekend at the Miami International Autodrome, with the grid now set following Saturday’s sprint and qualifying sessions.

All eyes will be on the grid as the lights go out, with Kimi Antonelli and Max Verstappen sharing the front row. Just behind, Charles Leclerc and Lando Norris complete the second row, as four teams fill the top four qualifying positions.

The entire grid is closer than ever after a month-long break. Even at the back of the grid, both Cadillac and Aston Martin are more competitive this round, and may spend the Miami GP locked in battle.

NOTE: Following reports of severe weather, race organizers have moved the Miami GP race start ahead to 1 PM - 1300 local time / 1700 GMT.

First held in 2022, the Miami race has quickly become one of Formula 1’s highest-profile U.S. stops. Built around the Hard Rock Stadium complex, the tight street-style circuit is set to remain on the calendar until at least 2041 following a long-term agreement.

Mercedes remains a central focus heading into Sunday’s race after its strong start to the season, although the competitive picture may have shifted following the Miami sprint race and qualifying. Championship leader Antonelli continues to set the pace, maintaining a narrow advantage over team-mate George Russell as the intra-team battle develops this season.

With limited practice running, evolving track conditions and the added variables from sprint weekend format, Sunday’s grand prix presents a wide range of strategic possibilities.

Here is everything you need to know ahead of Sunday’s race in Miami.

How can I watch the F1 Miami GP?
