'F*** the Tories' rave to take place in Liverpool city centre

Anti-Tory activists are set to take a stand and have a dance in Liverpool city centre.

A second "F*** rthe Tories" rave will take place outside Primark on Church Street at 2pm on Saturday.

A spokesperson for the community-organised group behind the rave said: "Conventional protests have accomplished nothing, so we're trying something new.

"Decades of tax breaks for the rich, cuts to social services and tragedies like Grenfell Tower and the treatment of the Windrush generation has shown that the Tories don't care about marginalised people in this country.

"We are just people who have lived our entire adult lives voiceless against countless Tory injustices.

"We're not going to meekly accept another five years.

"We're venting our frustrations and reminding ourselves that we are not alone in a nation left bitterly divided after 10 years of Tory rule."

The first rave went on for over 7 hours, but the second promises to be 'bigger and better', with members of the public being urged to join in.
