'F*** the BBC' Josh Taylor lets rip as Scottish boxing hero packs X-rated punch over snub

Scunnered Josh Taylor has let rip at the BBC over their decision to snub him from the BBC Sports Personality of the Year shortlist.

The Scottish boxing hero has enjoyed an incredible 2019 after becoming a unified light-welterweight champion with thrilling wins over Ivan Baranchyk and Regis Prograis.

Taylor was a surprise omission from the nominees list with the winner to be announced at the glitzy ceremony which will take place in Aberdeen on Sunday evening.

And a Tweet promoting celebrity boxer KSI's review of the year was too much for Taylor and he delivered a blistering attack on the broadcaster.

He wrote on Twitter: "Yet no mention of someone becoming unified world champion after only 16 fights, f*** the BBC."

Taylor's brilliance in the ring has him on the verge of landing a place inside the Top 10 pound for pound list.

And the Commonwealth Gold medalist from 2014 will be catapulted to superstardom if he can secure a winner takes all clash with Jose Ramirez next summer.

But Taylor's brilliance is being recognised by some as he was crowned The Sunday Mail's Scottish Sports Personality of the Year.

Dina Asher-Smith (Athletics)
