Forget the Iowa caucus, this news just in. Gordon Ramsay was the "most wanted" business celebrity last year, more fervently desired than either Jamie Oliver, Simon Cowell or Sir Richard Branson. This startling fact was revealed today by celebritiesworldwide.com, the database of 21,000 celebrities worldwide, used by the media and entertainment industries for PR contact details. Or so it says on its press release. Surprisingly, the potty-mouthed chef was the most searched for celebrity business name last year. Following the top four were Sir Alan Sugar and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, while rounding out the top 10 were the Dragons' Den quartet of Duncan Bannatyne, Peter Jones, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden. Monkey declines to comment on the utility of the top 10 "most wanted" business names list. But if we were to compile a top 10 list of top 10 lists designed with no other purpose in life other than to generate spurious publicity, we know precisely where to place celebritiesworldwide.com.
