Ezekiel Elliott reportedly getting workout help from Marshall Faulk in Cabo

There are so many rumors and speculation floating around about Ezekiel Elliott and whether he’s staying in Cabo, coming to Dallas, or somewhere in-between, nobody knows what’s true anymore.

However, it’s widely understood that the former Ohio State running back returned to Cabo after making a quick stop in Dallas to continue his workout while contract negotiations continue. And while it does appear that negotiations are actually going somewhere now, nothing has been made official.

What has been discussed and confirmed though is that former Rams running back Marshall Faulk is preparing to head to Cabo to help Elliott with his workouts. At least according to an Faulk’s appearance on the Rich Eisen Show Friday.

Faulk discussed holdouts, Super Bowl favorites, and Elliott’s situation. Specifically why he’s going to meet Zeke down in Mexico. He won’t be going easy on last year’s NFL rushing champion.

“I challenged him (Elliott) with his conditioning and trying to get him closer to football ready and not just in good shape,” said Faulk. “I got some drills and stuff that I used to do … I’m going down to try to make him throw up. That’s my job.”

Despite earlier reports and speculation, there’s no deal in place. And you have to believe that if Faulk is headed down to Cabo, things aren’t necessarily as close to getting done as many believe.

We’ll of course have more on this as it happens.
