Ezekiel Ansah unsure of timeline for return from shoulder injury

The Seahawks strengthened their defensive line last week, signing free agent Ezekiel Ansah after a visit to Seattle in April.

Because of a shoulder injury, Ansah finished last year on the Lions’ injured reserve list after just seven games played. Following surgery to correct the issue, Ansah could be unavailable for an extended time as he recovers.

“It’s been a great progress,” Ansah told 710 ESPN Seattle’s “Brock and Salk Show” on Wednesday morning. “I come out every day trying to work to make it better, out here in the organization working with the guys. So it’s been good.”

Recent reports have indicated the defensive end might not be ready by the start of the regular season.

“You know, I’m just going to take it a day at a time,” Ansah continued. “I don’t have a timeline as of right now. I’m just waiting to see what the doctor is going to say, but until then, I’m putting in the work every day to get the body right.”

The Seahawks begin organized team activities on May 20.
