State opening of parliament Central Lobby to the House of Lords
David Cameron and Ed Miliband, followed by the deputy prime minister, Nick Clegg, and the deputy Labour leader, Harriet Harman, lead MPs through Central Lobby to the House of Lords for the state opening of parliament. The Queen has opened every session of parliament of her 61-year reign, except in 1959 and 1963 when she was pregnant with Prince Andrew and Prince Edward respectively
